Working for a global Construction and Engineering company who have one of the best cultures and working environments around, we are looking for an experienced IT Procurement Administrator to join their IT Service Delivery Team. Our client has fantastic offices with great facilities including free parking, Costa Coffeeon-site and a lovely subsidised restaurant that has just all been re-furbished.
Very flexible working pattern available - wewill support anyone wanting to work between 30 - 40 hours per week.
The role is working 3 days a week on-site at their Farnborough offices and 2 days remotely per week.
Summary of the role
The IT Procurement Administrator is responsible for the provision of administrative support to the UK IT Department. The IT Procurement Administrator provides support and coordination of procurement and asset management to the local IT department as well as communication and assistance to the end-user community.Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide overall administrative support to the UK IT department including IT Executive support.
2. Manage procurement activities for IT in the UK. Raise purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage invoicing.
3. Manage elementsof the mobile telecommunications vendor relationship and associated procurement and issue and return of mobile devices.
4. Provide initial point of contact to our customers and respond to problem, incident and service escalation.
5. Communicate action and progress updates to our customers. Identify any need for subsequent levels of escalation and escalate as appropriate while maintaining ownership.
6. Asset Management - Review hardware stock and update Asset Management systems in liaison with local Central Receiving personnel.
7. Ownership of 60 day forecast for IT desktop type asset requirements in all local business units andprojects.
8. Manage the content of the local IT intranet and user literature. Coordinate and create literature and communications for new services and changes to existing services, in conjunction with the global communications team.
9. In dealing with customer feedback ensure good responsiveness and adaptability in addressing their needs, maintaining ownership while engaging other groups and escalating as appropriate to address.
10. Provide training and assistance to Authorized Requestors in using the Service Order Request tool. Monitor the quality of the Service Order Requests. Provide feedback and follow-up with training sessions where needed. Help coordinate complex requests.
11. Provide input for IT introduction for Office induction sessions.
Skills and experience required:
* The ideal candidate will have experience as an IT Procurement Administrator
* Experience withasset management an advantage
* Previous experience within IT forecasting an advantage
* Excellent relationship managementskills, ability to build strong relationships
* Ability to work stand-alone, but with strong team player capability
* Understanding and experience of managing end to end procurement processes
* Proven ability to coordinate the efforts of others in a cross functional environment in the delivery of IT services to the business within a "client service excellence" culture.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written (English).
* A good knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office applications would be an advantage.
* Able to work effectively as a member of global virtual teams.
