Work Wales are currently working with an established local metal alloy manufacturer to recruit Deox Production Operatives to join their exciting team.
Job Description
To produce a specialist product for the steel industry, known as Deox Pellets, ensuring that the size and specifications are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate launder working together with furnace operator and other floor operatives to safely meet production volumes and yield
* Ensure that sows, deox pans and launders are properly coated, maintainedand generally kept in good working order. Remove and transport pans using forklift trucks in a safe manner in accordance with Company policies and procedures
* Dispose correctly of end of run material, and move to designated area
* Coat bins and moulds to ensure release of material & ensure correct storage of bins
* Provide cover for the production floor operators as required
* Using the quantometer, check chemical analysis of output
* Be fully conversant with different types of material usedin the plant
* Have regard for the health, safety and welfare of your colleagues, ensuring you wear the correct PPE at all times
* Bring hazards to the attention of the Team Leader immediately as and when they arise
* Carry out any ad hoc assignments as may reasonably fall within the scope of your knowledge and experience.
Pay Rate: £11.18 per hour
Hours of Work:13:45pm - 22:00pm Monday - Friday
The ideal candidate will be:
* Have experience working in extreme heat
* Havea valid Counterbalance FLT licence
* Reliable, trustworthy and hard working
