Description:
Our client, based in Cork city (just north of the city) requires a quality technician to join their food productionfacility. You will be joining an established Irish owned company, where quality and integrity are high priority. You will be reporting in to the technical director and joining an established quality team. This is a days only Monday - Friday quality job.Do you have a formal food science degree from an Irish University?
Do you have 1 year work experience in food production in Ireland?
Your duties will include:
* Microbiological, chemical and physical testing in accordance with agreed testing programme.* Maintenance of microbiological, chemical and organoleptic analytical records.
* Monitoring and reporting of quality results/standards to the management team.
* Problem solving/trouble shooting and follow up on out of specification results.
* Reportwriting and trending of quality data.
* Recording of non-conformances, identifying root cause, and follow up on Corrective andPreventive Actions.
* Updating and review of SOPs, procedures, record sheets and quality documentation as assigned to meet BRCand customers quality standards.
* Carry out internal audits to ensure Quality System compliance.
* Document control and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
* Participation in customer and compliance audits.
* Implementation of Quality improvement initiatives.
* Undertake and management of Quality and Technical projects as required.
* Supporting customer queriesin relation to finished product, including management of customer portals and due diligence testing.
