Description:
The position requires the candidate to liaise internally with other departments such as Quality Assurance, New Product Development & externally with vendors.

Roles & Responsibilities
* The candidate will be responsible as part of the team to maintain, repair, fault find & make improvements to a wide range of old and modern equipment.
* These would include rinsers, fillers, cappers, corkers, capsulators, labellers, conveyoring equipment, bottle & case coders and palletizer.
* Identify root causes of poor/declining performance & implement effective, sustainable solutions to improve productivity.
* Carry out regular Planned Preventative Maintenance & Asset Care duties to improve equipment reliability & increase line efficiencies & O.E.E.
* Identify through inspections potential areas of failure, ensure the correct spares are available & replace before failure occurs.
* Identify problematic areas where detection systems would improve line efficiencies such as"Fallen Bottle" detection, "Missing identification codes" and other missing component detection systems & design, install & test.
* Parts ordering, invoice receipting, issuing & cataloguing Permits to Work.
* Work on improving the Health & Safety performance of the business through working with all team members and relevant corrective Actions etc.
* Implementtooling and line changes for new products & packaging projects in conjunction with NPD team (Internal & External)
* Must be flexible to react to changing situations, i.e. occasional overtime and working late to complete repairs & maintenanceQualifications & Experience
* Engineering Qualification
* Sound knowledge of electrical systems with the ability to understand electrical drawings.
* Must possess PLC debugging skills.
* Sound knowledge of pneumatic systems.
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
* Excellent PC skills & have the ability to produce clear concise reports ( Microsoft Excel and Word)
* Demonstrates a strong Health & Safety approach to work.
* Background in FMCG, particularly food & drinks would be an advantage.
