Description:
Reporting to Manufacturing Manager, the Raw Material Co-Ordinator/Production Planner is responsible for the control of all raw materialinventories, handling/storage and consumption, taking into account cost, quality and spin-ability.
The formulation of a monthly Production Plan, in conjunction with Customer Support/Supply Chain people and it's scheduling through Manufacturing.
MainDuties & Responsibilities:
* In line with training and applicable procedures, conduct all duties in a way that promotescompany values, & best practice standards relating to health, safety, environmental & quality performance
* Create Budget requirements for raw material inventories on a yearly, monthly and weekly basis, and monitor actual v budget and report anyvariances. Monitor on a weekly basis the stocks, expected receipts against projected usage, to ensure there are no shortages inthe supply chain.
* Evaluate raw material.
* Implement the Business Plan, including specific departmental objectives and targets on safety, environmental, output and quality
* Develop raw material handling, storage and automation systems in conjunction with the Technical and Development Department.
* Using the IFS enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System, to maintain the Raw Material Quality Control System, to work on the Import Program, and to produce Inventories Report. Help and support other team members.
* Control all Raw Material Movement from its arrival on the docks to end use. This involves scheduling loads from the docks to warehouses. Issuing Chip Filling, Bulk Filling and Sorting Instruction to move the material from warehouses to Silos.
* Issue the Spinning Blends on a daily bases.
* Supervise the Warehouse Operators and Sorting Day Operator.
* Maintaining SOP
* Carrying out Safety/Quality Audits
Production Planning/Scheduling
Plan with Customer Support/Supply Chain peoplethe Monthly Production Program.
To schedule with the Team Leaders, Supply Chain and Logistic Partners, Technical and Development, Maintenance Service Centre (MSC) and other relevant departments, the production plan for the Fibre Plant.
MSC Planning:Co-Ordinate with the MSC maintenance/work order management to be carried out in the Raw Material Control Department and Sort& Prep Inform MSC of major product changes.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
* Good computer skill in Excel and Word.
* Graduate of the Plastic and Rubber Institute.
* Certificate in Inventory and Production Planning.
* Good Communication Skills
