Description:
Inspection of product, process and materials for accurate quality product.
To raise concerns and instigate corrective actions and logging of any issues that arise.
To work closely with team leaders, trainers and design personnel to ascertain best practice and product stop/go ahead.
To provide advice and support to the organisation with regards quality standards and procedures.
Reports to the quality manager on quality issues, in process failures and ratio and test bay failures and subsequent actions to be taken.
To report on resources for the in process quality and supplier issues.
Discuss and implement improvements relating to customer complaints, suppliers & environmental
This job exists to control in-process quality, reducing the cost of poor quality and ensuring the customer receives a robust quality product according to the agreedspecification.
The role helps production with issues regarding material, procedures and product.
The role should guide and lead and nurture the skills and experience of the Quality Technicians.
The role helps monitor & control supplier performance with sourcing, design and purchasing.
To educate and support quality technicians for right first time production reducing waste materials, customer complaints and test bay failures.
To monitor and work with HR, Design and Production to ensure correct procedure and instruction for new product and prototype passing.
To ensure that product used on the shop floor is as per specification and fit for use, raising and seeing through supplier NCR's that arise.
To analyse internal product errors and failure for corrective and preventative actions.
To manage Quality Technicians for performance, personnel and continuous improvement.
To ensure adherence to all procedures and standards
Certificate/Diploma/Degree in the field of Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality discipline (lower level of qualification should be balanced by increased experience brought to the role)* 3-4 years industrial experience in similar role.
