A well established internationally renowned manufacturer with Multiple sites for both production and distribution around the globe are seeking to recruit a Sustainability manager to join them on a permanent basis in Letchworth Garden City!

The Sustainability Manager role:
- Championing the reduction of carbon footprint, increasing our sustainability activities, and advancing our environmental, social, and ethical performance. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a substantial impact across a successful global company.
- Accountable for shaping and delivering a global sustainability strategywhich aligns to our companies four sustainability pillars: namely Carbon, Recycling, Corporate & Social Responsibility, andFormulation Development.
- Leading sustainability steering group
- Accountable for internal and external engagement with key stakeholders across our global footprint to identify and optimise outcomes and efficiency's, inform and drive communication strategy, and support building capability where needed.
- Ensure you are aligned to ongoing ISO9001, 14001, and50001 programs - driving the very best initiatives that impact design, operations, sales, and marketing, right through to engagement with the local community.
The Successful Sustainability Manager:
- Experience of leading sustainability initiatives in a complex technical environment, preferably within the Construction or Civil Engineering sectors.
- A deep knowledge of sustainable building practices, renewable energy, waste management principles and circular economy principles.- A natural communicator, someone who can convey their thoughts, ideas, and opinions clearly and concisely face-to-face or virtually to all levels up and down the organisation.
- A proven ability to manage the delivery of sustainability on multipleprojects at the same time. We need someone with experience in delivering low carbon solutions on projects e.g. embodied and operational carbon.
- Excellent knowledge of environmental legislation and control measures in a manufacturing and construction environment, as well as a detailed understanding of industry and client sustainability requirements would be highly advantageous.
