About the Role:
As the Day Care Manager, you will be instrumental in providing exemplary dementia-specific care to our clients at the Day Care Centre. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of person-centered and community-focused care, while appreciating the complex needs of both clients and their caregivers. This role encompasses managing the overall operations of the center, overseeing staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and maintaining administrative excellence.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Client Care Management: Ensure the provision of comprehensive care and activities that enhance client self-esteem and quality of life. Oversee the administration of medications, implementation of care plans, and coordination with health professionals.
* Staff Supervision and Development: Manage all day care staff and volunteers, including recruitment, training, performance management, and ensuring staff adherence to center policies and procedures.
* Operational Management and Administration: Efficiently manage day care operations,maintain records, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Oversee the maintenance of the facility and manage client billing and documentation.
* Community and Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with clients, families, and local health service providers. Promote the center's services and participate in community events to enhance service awareness.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, Nursing or related field; foreign degrees must be NQAI validated.
* 5+ years in health/social care with 3+ years in management.
* Full clean driving license.
* Registered Nurse with dementia care qualification desirable.
Skills:
* Strong management, organizational, and communication skills.
* Client-focused with empathy and a commitment to confidentiality.
* Proficient in MS Office and knowledgeable about health and safety regulations.
