Swansea Based

£30000 - £35000 Dependant on Experience



The Company



Opportunity tojoin an Automotive Dealership Group who represent a premium iconic brand. They sell new and used vehicles, provide service andrepair facilities dedicated to their brand, as well as providing original parts. They are a well established group providing security and a solid reputation with branches across South Wales.



The Role



This is a permanent position based at the group Head Office in Swansea but te successful applicant will be responsible for all the South Wales Branches. They are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager to implement and deliver health and safety processes across the group.

Duties and responsibilities will include:



* Providing Health and Safety advice to managers over multiple sites.
* Take the lead in accident investigations.
* Identify and rectify any opportunities for improvement.
* Produce well written, comprehensive reports in accordance with group minimum requirements for circulation to senior management.
* Make recommendations, interpret and implement policy decisions to ensure legislative compliance.
* Maintaining core areas of expertise and imparting knowledge and apply professional standards to ensure best practice.
* Carrying out Health & Safety audits, training and toolbox talks.
* Ensure policies and procedures for safe working in place, monitor near misses/ incidents and assist in investigating to prevent recurrence.
* Assist area managers in preparing training plans and ensure areas are correctly resourced, manage First aid/ Fire Marshalls etc.



Requirements



* Be enthusiastic, well organised, diligent, and able to work to strict deadlines whilst paying attention to detail and working both as an individual and as part of a team.* Previous Health & Safety experience.
* Experienced in implementing H&S Systems.
* An extensive professional understanding and experience of HSE regulations
* Experience building up a health & safety culture from scratch.
* NEBOSH qualified.

* Be confident & able to take the lead in accident investigations.
* Have a good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation requirements.
