I am seeking aBasic Grade Occupational Therapists for a well-established organisation in Kildare. My client supports those in the community with disabilities. They pride themselves on supporting their service users to develop their skills and abilities so that they canlive the life of their choice.
Basic Grade Occupational Therapists for Adult & Young Adult Teams
Permanent Contract - 37 hours per week
Co. Kildare with opportunities for remote working
Occupational Therapist Salary (€37,522- €54,569) is paid in accordance with the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales.
The successful candidates will be offered continuing professional development and the opportunity to work within an extensive multi-disciplinaryteam.
Duties
* Integrate occupational therapy skills with current occupational therapy theory and relevant supporting evidence-based knowledge
* Conduct standardised/non-standardised/observational assessments that identify occupational and functional needs in the areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure
* Adhere to the principle of informed consent prior to and throughout interventions.
* Apply clinical reasoning to plan, grade, implement and modify interventions that are outcome based and relevant to person's goals
* Facilitate individual intervention, education sessions/groups with individuals, parents orother support staff
* Ensure electronic records and report writing are up to date
* Actively promote collaborative workingrelationships within multidisciplinary teams
* Prioritise and manage a caseload under supervision from a Senior Therapist/teammanager.
* Maintain professional standards in relation to confidentiality, ethics and legislation
Essential criteria* Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) or an Occupational Therapy qualification recognised by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
* CORU registered or be able to show proof of pending registration
* Relevant post qualification or under-graduate placement experience in a disability setting with adults or children.
* Eligible to work in Ireland
*Full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle
* Excellent communication skills - oral and written
* Good IT and computer skills
* Effective use of reflective practice/supervision process
* Some flexibility in working hours will be required to meet the needs of the service
