Senior Respiratory Physiologist - IICMP Registration Essential

Responsibilities of a Respiratory Physiologist inIreland:

* Conduct respiratory tests (spirometry, lung volume measurements, gas transfer tests, bronchial provocation tests).
* Perform advanced diagnostic procedures (polysomnography, arterial blood gas analysis).
* Evaluate patients' respiratoryfunction and provide accurate diagnoses.
* Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
* Interprettest results and prepare detailed clinical reports.
* Ensure calibration and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with diagnostic equipment.
* Educate patients on their conditions and use of respiratory devices (inhalers, CPAP machines).
* Provide support and advice to patients managing respiratory conditions.
* Stay updated with advancements in respiratory medicine.
* Collaborate and Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.

Requirements for a Respiratory Physiologist in Ireland:

* Degree in Clinical Physiology, Respiratory Therapy, or related field.
* Registration with the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS) or appropriate professional body.
* 4+ years' clinical experience as a respiratory physiologist.
* Proficiency in performing and interpreting respiratory tests.
* Strong understanding of respiratory anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Attention to detail and precision in clinical reporting.
* Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
* Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
