Senior Speech and Language Therapist- Mental Heath Service
I amdelighted to be recruiting a Senior Speech and Language Therapist who is passionate about patient-centered care, protecting andpromoting mental health and psycho social wellbeing.
My client is a well established Mental Health facility based in South Dublin.
Permanent Contract
Duties:
* Conducting assessments to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
* Designing and implementing individualized therapy plans based on assessment results.
* Providing therapy sessions to clients, both one-on-one and in group settings, using evidence-based techniques.
* Arrange and carry out assessment and treatment/intervention programmes in line with local policy/guidelines.
* Be able to work collaboratively with the MDT and service users in supporting the management of decision-making and capacity assessments for service users.
* Manage,participate, and play a key role in the practice education of student therapists and promote and engage in the teaching / training / support / supervision of others as appropriate.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
* Registered with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist in Ireland.
* Dysphagia qualification to accredited level by IASLT.
* 3 years of full-time post-qualification clinical experience working with adults.
* At least 1 year of full-time experience working within a Neuro-disability or Mental Health setting with adults.
* Clinical proficiency in the assessment and treatment of adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties.
