We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities and Estates professional to carry outa varied Asset Management role.
This Chelmsford based position is a 2-year fixed role to onboard a new site into the groupJob Description:
The duties of this role cover; Survey and analysis of current site assets, specification, procurement,monitoring and managing preventative maintenance contracts. Your mission will be to develop and embed a maintenance statutory compliance program that is centrally stored on the Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) System.
Key Responsibilities:1 Devise and manage a robust PPM maintenance system including statutory compliance requirements across the site.
2 Specify,procure, and manage sub-contractors for the varied requirements on site, including but not limited to gas combustion, HVAC, fire systems, automatic doors, lifts, and more. Act as the primary point of contact, arranging regular meetings, reviewing performance and responsible for monitoring and addressing any issues.
3 Maintain a master schedule of contracts (renewal dates, values, variations, and scheduled uplifts) and responsible for preparing specifications and receiving quotations for minor works fromTerm Service Contractors.
4 Lead the migration of all statutory maintenance assets into the CAFM system.
5 Manage surveys inasbestos, legionella, and other statutory building surveys as required including Health and Safety compliance and EnvironmentalRegulations
6 Production of procedures and work instructions as required.
7 Monitor the allocated project budgets, forecasting and monitoring expenditure
Candidate Requirements:
* Degree or relevant professional qualification.
* Substantial, relevant experience in an equivalent role, preferably within a large multi-site organization
* Experience of management of term contracts and contractors
* Experience of Computer Aided Facilities Management Systems along with good knowledge of statutory requirements and compliance for engineering systems.
* Procurement and prepare of specifications and contracts for maintenance work
* Good verbal and written communication skills. Practical IT skills (spreadsheets, word processing, databases, project management)
This is an estimated 2 YEAR FIXED TERM Role.
