Desktop Engineer - End User Equipment Refresh Engineer (On Site)
£167 per day (Inside IR35)
Peterborough, Cambridgeshire (commutable from Cambridge, Northampton, St Ives, Milton Keynes)

My Client are an NHS Trust based in Essex and are seeking an End User Equipment Refresh Engineer on an initial 3 month contract basis (37.5 Hours)
Paying £167 per day (Inside IR35).
"You will be based at an agreed location within Care Group (1, 2, 3 or 4)* which is hosted by Basildon, Southend, or Broomfield)*.
You will generally be expected to undertake your normal duties at the principal place of work, however, in the course of your duties you may also be required to work at any of the sites within the Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust areas as well as other NHS sites as part of the delivery of the service." Key Responsibilities:
* Assists patients/clients during incidental contact. Contact with patients is incidental.
*Responsible for ensuring that all Incidents and Requests are dealt with by the support team in a timely manner and within agreedService Level Agreements (SLA).
* Responsible for ensuring that the team adhere to security measures in respect of IT equipment for the protection of the Trust IT service from hackers, computer viruses and any other such assaults.
* Fully understandand advocate the use of ITIL principles such as Change Management, Incident Management, Demand Management, Problem Management Service Catalogue Management and Service Level Agreement Management in accordance to the local policies and procedures.
* A good understanding of reporting in SCCM and SQL.
* Application, Hardware and Operating System investigation testing.
* Identifyimpact of service issues to Trust operations and react accordingly. Following the escalation process/policy outlined by Management.
* Supporting the Trusts end user equipment which includes but is not limited to desktop equipment, printers, scanners, mobile devices. Some of these devices are used by clinicians and therefore require a fast response/fix rate in accordance with theTrusts agreed SLAs.
* Identify issues, use analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options and ensure technicalresearch is thorough, balanced and that recommendations are logical and well thought through.
* Resolution of support requests for the home site and all remote site locations that are under the remit of equipment refresh.
* To organise and participatein the maintenance for all hardware and software under the guidance of the Desktop support Manager and or Head of Digital Operations.
* The individual must be prepared to travel, possibly with equipment, to various locations at short notice and should,therefore, have a Full UK Driving Licence.
* Create and maintain detailed documentation and guides.
Qualifications:
Desirable-
* Prince2 or Agile Foundation
* Customer Service Qualification
Essential-
* Computer Science degree qualification or equivalent level of knowledge and expertise gained through experience.
* 2x MCP Microsoft or MCSE qualification (Microsoft Certified Professional level and proven experience of applying these qualifications)
* ITIL V4 Foundation
