My Client are an NHS Trust based in Gillingham, Kent and are seeking a Senior Project Manager for their IT PMO Department on an initial 3 month contract basis with (37.5 hours a week) paying £267 per day.
Job Summary
The post holder will be responsible for the full project life cycle and will take day to day responsibility for supporting all projects delivery at each stage, from inception of each project to post project evaluation. The prime responsibility is to support the PMs to ensure that all projects deliver the required outcomes to the required quality withinthe constraints of time and cost.
The post holder will work with the Project Boards, workstream leads, CCG planned care team and clinical leads to provide senior expertise on all aspects of programme / project management, such as production of PIDs, QIAsand action plans; scheduling and phasing of programmes / projects; identification of risks; understanding of interdependencies;analysis of complex datasets; communications planning; managing changing demands; and benefits tracking.
To reflect a system's leadership approach, MFT have established a joint structure with the Transformational and PMO teams, of which this role will form an integral part of a joint team.
The post holder will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex digital projects and transformation enablers. The role requires extensive project management skills to lead the development, management and implementation of a wide portfolio of schemes. The role will primarily focus on the IT systems implementation and system enhancement to support the overall Digital Transformation Strategy.
Knowledge
* Thorough understanding of how IT supports the delivery of safe patient care within the NHS
* Be able to manage and deliver large scale IT projects from start-up, including scoping
Experience
* Proven successful delivery of healthcare programmes
* Proven experience of leading complex projects* Experienced in a staff management role
* Experience of programme management in an NHS environment
* Experience in implementing change
* Experience of managing project budgets and managing project change
Qualifications
* Master's Degree leveleducation or equivalent in a relevant subject or demonstrable significant relevant experience
* PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent
