Description:
Baker - Co. Cork - This is a full-time role withina scratch bakery facility in which we produce products for all stores within the group. The ideal candidate would have dough andbread-proofing experience. Previous experience from a confectionery background would be an additional bonus
Ensure the Bakery Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times. Provide customers with excellent quality products and customer service. A baker who has or would like to train as a baker, with Yeast-based Bread baking experience as baking is from scratch.The ideal candidate will have/be:
* 1 year of experience in the retail industry is desirable
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
* Experience balancing cash/tills is desirable
* Experience with fresh food
* Excellent communication skills
* Good delegation skills
* Highly driven with a strong work ethic
* Commercially and brand awareness
* Passion for grocery retail
* Thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
* A qualified baker with experience in both Bread and Confectionery is a distinct advantage
Main Duties:
* Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and other KPIs as agreed with the Store Manager
* Actively participate in all training and development initiatives and performance assessments
* Merchandise and present the entire store to the highest standard at all times andfollowing relevant store planograms and guidelines
* Implement planograms correctly and ensure the correct range is in place in store
* Gain competence with all aspects of supply procedures - ordering, delivery procedures, stock rotation and control procedures
* Manage such departments as are assigned to you
