New Business Development Manager - Public Sector
My client is an award-winning technology company who is looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to their established team.
The role of a New Business Development Manager is predominantly afield based, customer facing sales role, responsible for deep relationship development to deliver margin growth within a numberof strategic accounts. The key to success in this role will be the leverage and maintenance of strong relationships with key stakeholders up to board level. The role requires the ability to use solution and diagnostic sales techniques to sell a wide rangeof services to deliver measurable business value.
The role carries an annual sales target broken down quarterly and based ona growth plan. The role also requires high levels of opportunity and pipeline management skills.
New Business Development Manager Responsibilities
* Building cross functional relationships will all levels of management within the public sector, including directors, sales staff, marketing, purchasing, finance and technical within each organisation to build a comprehensive network of key contacts.
* Understand the needs of potential customers and the drivers for technology adoption, and position ourextensive suite of products and services to deliver the right solution
* Nurture qualified opportunities through online and/orface-to-face appointments, produce timely and compelling sales proposals, and demonstrate expertise to win new business
* Work alongside marketing, and other sales teams, to deliver and optimise opportunities from campaigns and incoming leads
* Identify opportunities for future growth through awareness of industry trends, new markets, competitor activity etc
* Meet KPI's andsales targets
New Business Development Manager Requirements
* Travel across the UK and occasionally abroad
* 2-3years' experience in selling managed IT and cyber security solutions within the
public sector
* Understanding public sector procurement arms and frameworks
* Knowledge of the Microsoft security stack
* Proven ability to build and maintain a newbusiness pipeline from end-to-end
* Enjoy a challenge and being rewarded for success and achievement
* Have a passion and proven track record for achieving targets
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Full UK driving licence
