Business Development Director - Central Government
Role Summary:
We are looking for a seasonedand proactive Business Development Director to join our growing team. This full-time role offers a flexible hybrid or remote working arrangement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in working with the UK Central Government and a proven background in technology consulting services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement strategic business development initiatives to drive growth and surpass sales goals.
* Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the UKCentral Government and broader public sector.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and clients.
* Work closely with internal teams to develop customized solutions that align with client needs and expectations.
* Prepare and present compelling proposals, pitches, and presentations to win new contracts and partnerships.
* Track market trends, policy changes, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for business expansion.
* Lead negotiationsand close deals to ensure successful contract awards and revenue growth.
* Provide regular updates on business development activities, performance, and pipeline to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
* 10-12 years of experience in business development, focusing on the public sector or UK Central Government.
* Demonstrated success in achieving sales targetsand driving business growth.
* Strong knowledge of the technology consulting services sector.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with government and public sector clients.
* Strategic thinker with the capability to create and execute effective business development plans.* Self-driven, results-oriented, with a high level of accountability.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid/remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a consulting firm.
* Extensive networkwithin the public sector and UK Central Government.
* In-depth understanding of emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities within the public sector.

£80-100k Base + Fantastic commission structure
