Business Development Director - Legal and Professional Services
My client is an internationally award-winning technology company who is looking to add an experienced Business Development Director to their established team.
The role of theBusiness Development Director is predominantly (80%) a field based, customer facing sales role, responsible for deep relationship development to deliver margin growth within a number of strategic accounts. The key to success in this role will be the leverage and maintenance of strong relationships with key stakeholders up to board level. The role requires the ability to use solution and diagnostic sales techniques to sell a wide range of services to deliver measurable business value.
The role carries anannual sales target broken down quarterly and based on a growth plan. The role also requires high levels of opportunity and pipeline management skills.
Business Development Director Responsibilities
* Attainment of revenue and margin goals
* Maintain knowledge of L&PS sector business challenges
* Develop and support team activity for client facing events
* Developsales strategy and territory plan for nominated L&PS pursuit targets
* Develop opportunity pipeline against company coreportfolio within the L&PS sectors to support performance against revenue and margin targets
* Continual progress reportingagainst defined list
* Secure net new clients against within L&PS
* Maintain Business Plan in support of territory development
* Maintain company tool and opportunity management
* Maintain weekly sales forecast
* Supply timely and accurate data required by Regional Management
* Understand and demonstrate knowledge of core service propositions
* Build and maintainrelationships with key strategic vendors
* Lead campaign management in to net new clients
* Work with and lead cross business specialists to support campaign management
Business Development Director Requirements
* Minimum of 10 years IT sales experience is a pre-requisite
* Minimum of 5 years selling into Tier 1 and 2 Financial Services and Insurance companies in London
* Demonstrable knowledge in delivering complex IT Solutions
* Ability to engage at both the 'C' suite within IT and the wider client business
* Proven track record in securing net new business within the L&PS Sectors
* Proven knowledge of the IT Vendor community
* Proven track record in achieving performance targets
