BRAND NEW opportunity for a talented Business Development Director - Storage, Backup, Cloud, Managed Services, Cyber SecurityMy client is an award-winning technology company who is looking to add an experienced Business Development Director to join their Enterprise team.
The role carries an annual sales target broken down quarterly and based on a growth plan. The role requires high levels of opportunity and pipeline management skills.
Required Experience
* Minimum of 5 years' experience selling to either Public Sector or Commercial clients
* Specific sales expertise in two or more of the following areas: Managed services, colocation, DRaaS, BaaS, IaaS. Enterprise Networking and Security
* Proven Business Development track record
* Experience of winning sales opportunities of £500k and above
Business Development Director Responsibilities
* Proactivelyidentify potential new large, complex and/or strategic IT Services
* Identify and managing a strong pipeline of potential newcustomers
* Build a short-, medium- and long-term sales pipeline of opportunities to the level required
* Produce and commit to a reliable weekly sales forecast
* Promote the ITS value propositions within the customer target portfolio
* Coordinatelarge, complex and/or strategic tender responses
* Own, manage and control the preparation of bids, tenders and RFIs / RFQs,and use allocated resources to ensure that high quality bids are submitted in a timely fashion.
* Work with Pre-sales, Operations, Business support, Finance, Tax & Treasury, HR and IT, to ensure appropriate IT Services solutions are designed and priced
* Prepare solution business cases for approval by senior management
* Prepare and present high quality customer proposalsto develop new business
* Identify and creatively resolve barriers to sales in individual opportunities
* Take a lead rolein the planning and development of the Account sales strategies
* Develop and action working account plans using the company templates
* Attend Vendor Training and Personnel Training Courses as requested by Management

What's on Offer
A basic salary of £70-80k + Car Allowance depending on experience with excellent commission and bonus scheme taking the package to over 6 figures.
