Description:
Responsibilities:
* Negotiate pricing, quantities and delivery of materials with suppliers
* Drive/Forecast supply and purchase orderdemand
* Coordinate the flow of materials and products through the supply chain
* Coordinate stock control operations with warehouse staff, sales and finance departments
* Ensure materials are purchased in a timely manner
* Manage all aspects of inventory management and service levels
* Analyze quotations and determine the best sources of supply
* Deliver cost savings and cost reduction through skilled negotiation
* Provide procurement/commercial input into cross-functional teams
* Identifypotential problems and risks and develop contingency/recovery plans
* Undertake regular cost benchmarking reviews on key parts* Work with a broad range of external suppliers
* Support other areas of the business as required
Requirements:
* Previous experience in Materials Control or Senior Buyer role
* Strong procurement and material scheduling experience
* Good understanding of supply chain procedures and data analysis
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent organization and time management skills
* Good communication, collaboration, customer service, and negotiation abilities
* Proficient in MS Office
* Flexible attitude and ability to handle changing priorities
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
