Technical Account Manager - Cyber Security - IT Services
My client is an internationally award-winning technology company who is looking to add an experienced Technical Account Manager into their Cyber Security Overlay team.
The Technical Account Manager will support the overlay sales team in the development and on-going presales management of complex, multi-security technology projects ensuring clear communication both internally and to the customer. The Technical Account Manager where possible will architect security solutions but where necessary will be able to work alongside existing security architects withinthe business.
This is a customer facing role with accountability for high value and complex project development within namedtargeted accounts or territory.
Technical Account Manager Responsibilities
* Lead the Pre-sales Technical Solution Design as a key role in winning new business and increase ongoing revenue/margins within the nominated accounts or territory.
* They will facilitate peer-to-peer relationships with senior personnel, to promote sales and deployment of products and managed security services.
* Be responsible for positioning as a trusted advisor to the nominated account or territory, through the delivery of end-to-end solutions and services that deliver recognised best practise and methodologies with demonstrable benefits to the customer in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Management and measurable Return on investment (ROI).
New Business Sales Lead Requirements
* Customer Outcome Definition
* Handle all pre-sales technical aspects of services provided to the client &relating these to the client's business level requirements.
* Understand the customer's business and their challenges; ensurethe technical team deliver against the client's requirements; and develop the client's technical road map.
* Work closely withthe Business Development Executive (BDE), Customer Services Manager & other relevant lines of service.
* Progress new sales opportunities and deliver contracted solutions.
* Effective people management of the pre sales and transitional technical team, ensuring that the project is adequately resourced and that the available resource is well managed and utilised.
* Sellingthe technical solution at all levels into the customer base.
* To develop key opportunities with Vendors as required to maximise backend margin
* To manage pipeline of key technical projects (not BAU orders) and review with Customer / Vendors as required
* Fully contributing member of customer / account business management board / team.
* To qualify all requests for new ormodified technical requirements ensuring that design resource is economically utilised.
