The Indirect Buyer will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and creating cost efficiencies.
Have you got a strong strategic sourcing or procurement background within IT or indirect service categories?
Are you confident in developing collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders?
Are you competent in commercial contract management?
The successful Indirect Buyer will be responsible for:
* Developing and implementing sourcing strategies for categories including but not limited to Professional Services, Facilities Management and IT.
* Creating and implementing procurement policies, procedures, and tools to improve efficiency.
* Conducting tender processes on behalf of multiple legal entities.
* Managing supply chain risk and performance through procedures audits and scorecards.
* Monitoring and reviewing performance, identifying opportunities for greater efficiencies, improved terms, and value-add activity.
* Identifying new suppliers to achieve commercial gains, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Managing and developing strategic supplier relationships.
The successful candidate will have the following…
* Membership status of Chartered Institute of Purchasing& Supply (CIPS level 5 or working towards).
* Demonstrated success in delivering significant cost savings.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proven influencing and negotiation skills.
This role offers between £40,000 - 45,000 + benefits.Whilst there is flexibility to work from home, you must be within a commutable distance to Edinburgh. Please note: Occasional travel requirements to supplier visits throughout the UK.
