Job Title: Marketing & Communications Officer

Location: Hounslow, London

Job Type: Permanent

Salary:£27,000 to £30,000

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are looking for an Marketing & Communications officer who will be reporting to the Business Manager, but working closely with the Group PR & Marketing Department. You will be developing and maintaining a positive reputation for Hounslow Highways with regards to the contract, whilst needing to work closely with key business leads and other internal departments including; the London Borough of Hounslow Member Services, Feedback and Customer ServiceTeam. You will be liaising closely with Councillors, Resident Associations, Community Groups, Group PR & Marketing to promote good customer care, develop, maintain and actively promote a positive service undertaken by Hounslow Highways to foster a positive reputation and facilitate cultural change where necessary.

* Organise photography to support marketing activity
* Attend key events identified by the Group Marketing Department or Business Manager and represent Hounslow Highways in a professional manner
* Write and design internal staff newsletters
* Managing and monitor the company's social media and utilising to the companies standards
* Update and manage the company's website
* Identify new marketing ideas for press releases, trade articles etc.
* Liaise with the team to develop local PR Strategies
* Ensure campaigns are executed
* Provide a first-class reactive media relations service to the London Borough of Hounslow Press Office to support the agreed media protocol to allow them to maintain good local, regional and national media relations.

Key Experience necessary;

Have at least two year's experience in an external facing Communications or Marketing role.

Excellent communication skills with an ability to build both internal and external relationshipsAdvanced level of IT skills (including experience of all Microsoft Packages - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Experience of social media and websites is essential

Problem solving/investigatory skills

Professional approach at all timesExcellent time management and organisational skills
