New Business Sales Lead - Financial Services and Insurance
My client is an internationally award-winning technology company who is looking to add an experienced Business Development Director to their established team.
The role of a New Business Sales Lead is primarily focused on gaining new relationships with customers and partners to sell them products and services that the company provides. The key to success in this role will be striving to maintain good relationships in turn, to achieve repeat business while ensuring your managed team is maintaining sufficient progress alongside.
The role carries an annual salestarget broken down quarterly and based on a growth plan. The role also requires high levels of opportunity and pipeline management skills.
New Business Sales Lead Responsibilities
* Day to day management of the sales team. The creation and ongoing management of a pipeline of opportunity in line with the expectation of the business, weekly forecasting, and overall financial management of the territory.
* Build and maintain relationships with the wider management team, ensuring that the sales team are familiar with all of the service offerings.
* Build and maintain relationships with the senior contacts of the customers andprospects within the territory
* Build and maintain relationships with the vendors who operate in the territory
* Develop and implement campaign strategy to support new business acquisition for territory
* Carry out regular performance reviews and ensure all team members are performing to expectation.
New Business Sales Lead Requirements
* Previous sales management experience in a similar sized organisation or 5 years or more experience as a high performing salesperson.
* Ability to manage virtual teams and bring together a coherent message for the customer
* Be able to manage healthy conflict
* Be able to hold relationships at board level and demonstrate a track record of having done so
* At least 5 years of experience in the IT industry
* Ideally, existing contacts in the vendor community or a demonstrable track record of having built and maintained externalpartner relationships
