Description:
The individual will be providing expansive support to the purchasing team. This position is a multi-disciplined role requiring a wide range of skills or abilities to support the activities below. The individual must have an eye for detail whilst also having the ability to work independently and prioritise workloads.
Responsibilities
* Sending out enquiries for quotations
* Raising and placing orders in-line with production and sales requirements
* Chasing and checking purchase order acknowledgements
* Creating and maintaining inventory and business partner data on operating system
* Loading production orders* Contacting suppliers to ensure deliveries are on schedule
* Highlight potential issues in supply chain
* Working to ISO procedures
* Assist the department with related tasks and adhoc duties
* Support Stores with stock control, discrepancies andstock take to maintain stock accuracy
Specific Skills /Experience
* Previous experience within a Procurement/PurchasingAdministration position
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to multi task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
* Be self-motivated and work unsupervised
* Experience of SAP would be preferred
* Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook or similar system
