Description:
We are looking for a Buyer / Stock Controller to manage material stocks and ensure a smooth flow of inventory for sale.Responsibilities
* Forecasting supply and purchase order demand, monitoring on-time delivery, and identifying new supply options to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock.
* Maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with warehousestaff, and resolving any stock issues.
* Manage supplier relationships, improve supplier performance, and build successful supply chain partnerships.
* Place orders to replenish stock as needed.
* Coordinating stock control operations with warehousestaff, as well as the sales and finance departments.
* Regular purchasing meetings with account managers in conjunction with the development of stock level targets for customers.
* Make proper arrangements for the transportation of goods and keep trackof shipments and coordinate internal stock transfers, as well as resolving delays.
* Identify and assess new supply options for current and upcoming purchasing requirements.
Experience & Skills
* Good understanding of inventory management principles and best practices, and experience in supply chain data analysis.
* Excellent organization and time management skillsare essential, as well as good communication, collaboration, and negotiation abilities.
* Previous experience in a Purchasing/Stock Controller role and be proficient in inventory management software.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, andactively participate in inventory audits.
* Proficiency in MS Office is required, and the ability to maintain and update purchase and pricing reports is a must.
