Our prestigious and established pharmaceutical client in Waterford are seeking to recruit a Senior Laboratory Analyst to join their busy biochemistry team. Our client work within a niche sector and have a reputation of excellence withintheir field.
You will have a minimum of 4 years' GMP laboratory experience as an analyst in a chemistry/biochemistry laboratory, previous experience of working in a supervisory/team lead capacity would be highly regarded for this Senior LaboratoryAnalyst job. Prior experience of working in a GMP environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the LabManager in the promotion of continuous improvement and GMP practice.
* Provide supervision and support of Laboratory Technicians.
* Assist the Lab Manager in managing the day-to-day operation of the lab.
* Allocation of testing to appropriate laboratory staff.
* Supervision of testing through lab to required turnaround-times.
* Conduct lab investigations and chemistry analysis of samples
* Maintenance of the QMS system, liaising with the Lab Manager to ensure accuracy.
* Ensure compliance oflab activities with the quality management system, and maintenance of appropriate records
* Report non-conformances and 'out of spec' results, assisting investigation with Lab Manager.
* Conduct routine calibration / validation of laboratory equipment.*
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
* Degree qualification in scientific discipline.
* 3-4 years' experience working within a GMP analytical lab environment.
* Leadership responsibility in a lab environment would be beneficial.
* Proficiency with HPLC in an industrial GMP environment is essential.
* Technical writing skills: ability to write quality documents (SOPs, investigation forms, etc.).
