A new role has just become available for an Environmental Lab Technician to work in an Environmental Analysis and Research company located near Kilkenny . This is a Day's role Mon - Fri with flexible start and finish times.
Environmental Lab Technician required for an Environmental Analysis and Research company based in Carlow . In this Environmental Lab Technician job, you will have the opportunity to work in a new purpose-built
laboratory complex which includes an Environmental and R&D laboratory.The role will be responsible for carrying out chemical analysis of oil, water and soil samples using an elaborate range of instrumentation to include GC,IC, HPLC, ICP-MS and AAS.
Duties:
* Preparation and analysis of water and soil samples.
* Ensuring that preparation and analytical procedures and associated tasks are conducted in accordance with quality requirements
*Organising designated tasks to maximise daily efficiencies.
* Completing all tasks within both the timeframe set by the Supervisor and the relevant analysis standard.
* Performing Calculations as required when conducting analytical preparations.
* Operation of instrumentation to include GC,IC, HPLC, ICP-MS and AAS
* Highlighting anomalies in results and sample type/behaviour to section supervisor.
A successful candidate will hold the following qualifications and desired attributes:
* Degreequalification in Chemistry
* Strong scientific and organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills , both written andoral
* Previous experience working within an accredited industrial laboratory or related industry laboratory environment is essential
* Thorough understanding of relevant quality system and accreditation requirements
* Experience of LIMS Systems
*Good standard of written and spoken English and numeracy skills.
