Microbiologist- Technical Support Specialist -Nationwide
Our client, one of Ireland's leading distributors of Laboratory supplies and equipment to the Clinical, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Veterinary, University and Research industries have an exciting field based role for an experienced Microbiologist who will work as a Technical Support Specialist.
This field based job involves supporting a range of Microbiology based diagnostics equipment and consumables for Clinical and Industry (Pharma/Food) customers in Ireland
It involves supporting the sales team, the demonstration of instruments and consumables to customers as well as application support and customer training. This is a field-based role. The technical support specialist will assist customers in the Clinical/Pharma/Foodindustries in Ireland /country wide through a mixture of on-site visits and remote support.
This work will include, but not be limited to:
* Pre-sales support at customer sites for sales visits and sales discussions
* Demonstrating the systems atcustomer sites in Ireland
* Processing of sample evaluations for customers and generation of result reports. Presentation of the results to customers, either onsite or by WebEx.
* Active participation in conferences, seminars and exhibitions
* Technical support
* Travel within Ireland for approx. 40-50% of the time. International travel possible as well for meetings,training on products.
Requirements
* Essential skills include the ability to analyse and resolve technical problems and demonstrate excellent practical skills
* Degree/Diploma in Microbiology
* Knowledge of Antimicrobial Susceptibility/Resistance Testing
* Experience in using Mass Spectrometry would be beneficial
* Excellent ability and willingness to communicate and closely interact with customers
* Familiar with Word and Excel
* Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team
* Holda Full ,Clean Driving Licence
