RESPONSIBLE FOR:
The development of highways packages and public realm space design packages
JOB PURPOSE:1. To develop technical design packages in a cost-effective, timely and collaborative manner.
2. To lead on quality outputs,applying design management systems, ensuring adherence to processes and continuous improvement
You will produce design information that is construction led and always seek to exceed our customers' expectations. Your ability to partner with construction and client teams to generate efficiencies and drive innovation in both design development and construction will help Eurovia to become a leading provider.
You will contribute to designs for highway and public realm projects across the UK of a value from £1m to £25m. You will be expected to travel and provide direct support that meets the demand of each project.
KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITES:
* Demonstrate and uphold Health, Safety and Environment responsibilities, including CDM
* Core technical acumen and demonstrable experience in the development of Highway and Public Realm space design packages. Ideally a minimum of 3 years' experience
* Ability to uphold relationships and conduct effective liaison as required for project delivery
*Application of design management systems and processes ensuring continuous improvement including understanding and application of BIM
* Commercial knowledge of project delivery and the NEC contract suite ensuring tasks are delivered to time and budget* Experience and understanding of construction methodologies and processes enabling a construction led design process
* Competent in the use of AutoCAD and Civils 3D packages
* Provide support to mentor and develop junior members of the design team
*Relevant degree in engineering field
* Professionally qualified or working towards chartership of a professional body
