We are recruiting fora leading construction consultancy looking to add a Network Asset Inspector to their team!
Purpose of the Role-
As the Network Asset Inspector, you will be reporting to the Snr Network Asset Inspector.
you will ensure the safety of the highwaysnetwork through the delivery of a high-quality customer centric, fit for purpose, right first-time inspection, compliance, and enforcement service.
You will be required to support enforcement action enabling the Company to fulfil its statutory duty as Highways Authority for the purposes of the Highways Act 1980; ensuring that Highway users are not put at risk by the action of third parties. In the first instance deliver compliance through discussions and negotiations. Where a lack of willingness to comply with the Highways Act 1980 is demonstrated you will support enforcement action.
The role will require out of normal hours working to facilitate the successful delivery of an out of hours service.
A Few Key Responsibilities of the Role-
* Respond efficiently and effectively to enquiries and complaints related to any aspect of the service provided by Re Highways Service from customers and other sources. Record findings and initiate action as necessary taking appropriate action to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Provide advice and information to customers on matters in relation to services provided by Re Highways Service.* Ensure inspections are planned and delivered in line with agreed timescales, procedures, and standards, ensuring full compliance with the systems and hardware provided.
Essential Experience of the Role-
* You must be qualified to diploma levelor equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
* Demonstrable Engineering, Transportation, or equivalent experience in Network Inspection and Management.
* Knowledge of highways and transport policies and associated working knowledge of legislation.
* Understanding of the health and safety legislation covering the construction industry, particularly,Highway Inspections, NRSWA and CDM Regulation 2015.
* Experience in the inspection, assessment, and construction of highway assets.
* Proven track record of monitoring highway works.
* Full driving licence or the ability to travel around the boroughdaily.
Desirable Experience for the Role-
* Experience of stakeholder diplomacy, negotiation, and conflict resolution.* Experience of enforcement legislation applicable to the delivery of a Highway Service including Highways Act 1980, Police andCriminal Evidence Act 1984 and Crime and Disorder Act 1998.

* As a Network Asset Inspector, you will be responsible for the delivery of a customer centric highways inspection, compliance, and enforcement service to ensure the safety of users of the network. You will be responsible for working collaboratively with colleagues across Re and the London Borough of Barnet to deliver service outcomes. You will always maintain professional standards and deliver customer service excellence.
