We are recruiting for a leading construction consultancy looking to add a Senior Civil Engineer to their team!
Job Title - Senior Civil Engineer
Area/Location - Glasgow

Salary - £48000 per annumPurpose of the Role-
As a Senior Civil Engineer within our Rail division will provide technical support into assignedprojects under professional supervision for the successful delivery of a wide array projects.
You will work in collaboration with other design disciplines in Common Data Environments and acquire the knowledge and practical skills through on-the-joblearning.
A Few Key Responsibilities of the Role-
* Preparation of technical outputs to the highest standards in accordance with the company's quality management system.
* Resolving technical civil engineering issues.
* Help to developthe production of drawings, reports and specifications.
* Scope and supervise surveys.
* Opportunity to work under mentorship to develop and undertake CRE responsibilities on Rail projects.
* Becoming familiar and compliant with relevant Health, Safety and Welfare regulations and to promote the company's SHEW culture within your team
* Operate in a multi-disciplinary environment and delivering projects in a Common Data Environment (CDE).
* Undertaking the necessary design (calculations, design, risk assessments, etc.) supported by other team members including technicians to produce the required design deliverable outputs.* Management and ownership of project tasks.
Essential Experience of the Role-
* Experience of working in the UK rail industry with good working knowledge of Network Rail Grip process / standards and approval processes.
* The Senior Civil Engineer must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to communicate with a variety of audience using different mediums.
* Able to manage your own time to meet project deadlines and budget targets.
* To demonstrate excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, both at a general and technical level
* Contributing to the performanceof the project team by meeting task deadlines and assisting in programming, resourcing, training and development of junior staff.
* Ability to respond to Project Manager and Client requests and meet challenging deadlines.
* Able to work as part of amultidisciplinary team comprising planners, designers, engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance to less experienced members of the team.
* Site experience in the Railway environment.
* Ability to manage project teams & project &/or project tasks.
