We are recruiting for a leading construction consultancy looking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Employers Agent to their team!
Job Title - Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Employers Agent
Area/Location - Sheffield
Type of Job - Permanent
Start Date - As Soon As Possible
Salary - £55 000 (depending on experience) + Car Allowance
What you'll be doing:
* Undertake Project management and Quantity Surveying duties throughout the entire project lifecycle
* Administration of the Building Contract and undertaking the role of Employers Agent
* Undertake the role of key Client contact and carry out client liaison throughout
* Preparation of estimates, cost plans and tender documentation including Employer's Requirements using various forms of measurement and contracts
* Preparation and agreement of interim valuations with Contractorsand issue recommendations for payment
* Pricing of variations throughout the duration of the project and provide cost advice* Produce monthly PM progress reports.
* The preparation and analysis of statistical cost information to monitor trends in the Building Industry and assisting with the cost planning of future projects
What we're looking for:
* Substantial Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Administrator experience working within a contractor/ client-side project environment.
* Experience ideally gained in a similar or related industry
* Degree qualified or equivalent and/or hold or working towards professional qualification (RICS, IACCM or similar)
* Ability to estimate change / variations using various methods
* Able to forecast cost and measure cost of work complete
* Good negotiation skills with ability to manage expectations
* Good contractual knowledgeand experience
