Description:
On behalf of a leading UK Managed Service Provider, I am looking for an IT Support Engineer, with specific experience within a Wintel Server environment.
IR35 Status: Inside
Location:Telford for the first 2 weeks, then 100% remote for the remainder of the contract
The Role:
* You will be responsible for supporting the Wintel Infrastructure, resolving faults, incidents and problems and performing approved changes across thecustomer base.
* Ensuring that customers incident, change & requests tickets are managed in a professional, consistent manner
* Ensuring documentation is current and up to date.
* Perform installation of operating system patches and fixes
* Work with hardware and software vendors to resolve customer issues
Skills / Experience required:
* Previous experiencein a similar Wintel technical support role is preferred
* Proven experience of working in an enterprise-level commercial environment
* Microsoft Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2016 & 2019)
* Core Windows infrastructure components (DHCP, Windows failover clustering, etc.)
* Active Directory experience: Group Policy Objects (GPO), Forests, Domains, Domain Controller Roles,DNS, Permission Models, Delegation, Trust relationships, LDAP and Kerberos
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; good team player; highly motivated; flexible
* Must be self-starter and able to work proactively and under pressure with a can-do attitude
