Through promotion this superb global provider ofInsurance systems and solutions is seeking a 2nd Line Support specialist to join their fast growing Infrastructure support team.
Offered as a remote working position, this 2nd Line Support role is a superb opportunity for a 1st Line Service Desk specialist ready to move upwards, or those with existing 2nd Line support experience who are looking to develop & grow their technical & infrastructure skills further.
Requiring a positive "Can Do" attitude, good communication & team working skills, together with the desire & ability to learn and put that learning into action, this exciting corporate is committed to developing the 2nd Line Support specialists expertise, with the future aim for those that want it, to move you onto 3rd Line infrastructure challenges.
Working across the company's technical estate, the 2nd Line Support specialist will ensure systems aremaintained and provisioned to support business objectives, together with providing an exemplary support service to support requests, whilst being able to take on new tasks & challenges when ready.
The Role & Responsibilities:
* To assist inall functions relating to the installation, configuration and operation of the company's hosted infrastructure
* Serve as support to the wider business goals by ensuring issues are dealt with or escalated as appropriately
* Working closely with various internal team members or teams from third parties including customers & vendors
* Demonstrate a positive attitude &aptitude to progress within the organisation, learning and thinking beyond just their current role or experience.
* Maintainsupport documentation
* Be proactive and able to prioritise issues according to their impact
* Able to work as part of a geographically wide spread team.
* Ensure that system performance monitoring and reporting alerts are handled promptly
* To undertake other duties, training & learning opportunities commensurate with the technical environment & needs of the business
Skills & Experience:
* Good 1st or 2nd Line Service Desk or Support experience
* Strong Active Directory skills
* Some Windows Server skills from 2012 & above
* MS Office, O365 or M365 skills
* VMWare ESXi, MS Exchange, CitrixXenApp or similar skills are highly useful
* Knowledge of ITIL or Problem Management is beneficial
* Good understanding of Core IT Concepts
* System performance monitoring & reporting
* MCSA, MCSE or other Microsoft qualifications welcome
