Description:
Concept Resourcing are currently recruiting IT engineers to support with some short-term ad hoc works within Birmingham and surrounding areas.
This purpose of the roles are to assist site with laptop and PC software upgrades.
Contract Duration: Ad Hoc- ASAP
Rate information:
* £140 per day via umbrella (inside IR35)
* Mileage claimable after 50 miles at 0.28ppm
* Parking, Tolls, Congestion all claimable with receipts
* Monday to Friday work
* 9.00am - 17.00pm* subject to slight adjustment
* Possibility of extension
The Role:
* Unbox new equipment and connect to Ethernet
* Complete initial kit set up
* Build laptop via script-based instructions
* Check functionality of upgraded piece of kit via applications
* Add Printers and VPN connections to the device
* Ensure user is set up withnew hardware and aware of how to navigate
* See tasks through to completion
* Box up legacy kit
* Provide good quality customer service at all times and establish good working relationships
The Candidate:
* Previous experience and skills withlaptop and desktop upgrade, migration and deployment
* Strong technical skills in Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems(Win 7 & Win 10) and business productivity applications i.e. Office
* Confident with application installation and the build process
* Ability to interact with customers so as to ensure that the service is polite, efficient and responsive
* Ability to work on their own initiative
* To work through issues analytically and successfully
* At least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area required
* Strong customer service skills
This contract has been deemed an inside IR35 role, therefore you will need to be paid via umbrella company. the above rates are the umbrella company rates subject to weekly fees and deductions.
