Data Analyst - City of London - Hybrid Working: 2 Days office / 3 daysWFH Salary £40,000 - £45,000 Plus Bonus & Benefits
Through continued growth within this superb international Insurance corporate, we are now seeking a Data Analyst to join their Data & Digital innovation team where you will work with & support colleagues across the organisation, building new & improving the existing data analytics & Dashboards.
The Data Analyst will be joining a team that manages the company's digital strategy, data insights and digital product development, focusing on key innovation areas within reinsurance. With the team developing and managing client and member portals, the company website, staff portal, marketing stack and numerous data analytics dashboards, there will be plenty of opportunity to build upon & expand your skills & experience.
In this Data Analyst role you will gather the data, undertake the data analysis and build the Dashboards to share quality visualisations & insights that the data reveals. You will update internal & externaldata dashboards in the online portals for clients, members and staff, providing your data reporting skills to stakeholders across the business, including reinsurance, finance, underwriting, health & wellness and marketing.
The Data Analyst Will:* Deliver client, member and internal reports - working with the company's data warehouse, data visualisation and ETL tools, making use of integrations with the CRM, Reinsurance & Reporting system
* Update interactive data dashboards in the onlineclient, member and staff portals
* Manage new data projects from end-to-end, gathering requirements through to implementing new reports
* Ensure all data requests are prioritised and actioned
* Provide insights and ad-hoc reports
* Work with multiple stakeholders across the UK and rest of the world (in particular the USA & France) to understand requirements
* Supportthe internal initiatives around data, including training other teams and championing a data-driven culture
* Monitor and recommend improvements in data management, auditing and governance of data, data quality rules, error identification and analytics techniques
* Participate in peer-reviews to learn, improve and produce high quality results
Preferred Skills & Experience:
* Background in Data Analytics, Maths or Computer Science
* Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar Data Analyst or Data Analytics focused role
* Good understanding of data reporting and visualisation tools ie. Tableau or Power BI
* Data manipulation through ETL tools and through Python/R and associated libraries
* Experience within Insurance, Financial and/or Health data preferred
* An understanding of data fundamentals including opportunities and constraints of different data types
* Has a proactive approach to building relationships beyond your immediate team in the London office as given the global footprint of the business and the highly collaborative nature of the team
* An enthusiasm for learning, a passion for data and the drive to make things happen
* Strong working proficiency in English
Useful To Have:
* Experience in business analysis and project management tools
* Agile delivery experience
* An interest in programming languages such as Python, R or SQL (GitHub etc.)
* Experience with large (>100,000 row) datasets or datasets of mixed quality
* A keen interest in visual design, telling stories with data and/or infographics
