This is an exciting time for my client. This government body is in a period of organisation wide transformation. The capture, store, use and interpretation of data is key to the success of this delivery and as such this role provides the post holder with a fantastic opportunity to help shape this.
They are seeking an enthusiastic data architect to join their Analytics and Software Engineering functions. Successful candidates will play a pivotal role in helping to transform our core services.
This role is a 6 - 12 month contract role - inside IR35 - can be done remotely.
Experience:
We are lookingfor someone who has experience in:
Data Architecture Design
* Developing enterprise/analytics data strategies and supporting architectures
* Producing target and transitional data architectures in delivery of strategic initiatives and objectives* Defining, governing and overseeing data modelling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development practices for enterprise/analytics data models.
* Experience defining data lake and data warehousing architectures and supporting schemas and pipelines.
* Experience in working with infrastructure and data engineers to implement data models
* Understands how to manage metadata
* Experience in developing data governance that supports architectural strategies
Leadership, Comms and Stakeholder Management
* Experience of leading/influencing teams
* Experience of communicating the data architecture vision and roadmaps to stakeholders.
* Experience of working closely with relevant stakeholders to both understand the impact ofand influence future organisational requirements to refine the data architecture roadmaps.
* Experience of supporting technical architects and engineers ensuring data architecture is considered at each stage of the design process
Qualifications:
Youshould have, one of the following:
* A first- or second-class honours degree in a computer science, computer engineering orrelated field
* A higher degree, e.g. an MSc or PhD, in a computer science, computer engineering or related field
* Workedas a leader in a computer science/data field for more than 5 years and can demonstrate this through relevant experience
One of the following certifications are desirable:
* Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) with the Data Management Association International (DAMA)
* IBM Certified Data Architect
* TOGAF Certified
