Description:
AWS DevOps, SecOps Engineer - remote working - £60k-£70k - MUST be based in and eligible to work in the UK.
Experienced AWS DevOps, SecOps, Systems Engineer with a solid AWS background to join the expanding team within this leading client who provide anti-fraud solutions and products to the banking, trading, financial and retail sectors to work on highly regulated data privacy and compliancedriven products.
You will be working on cutting edge projects across AWS, Azure cloud machine learning whilst exploring additional technologies which provide the right solution.
Your role will involve configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting thesoftware infrastructure and systems configuration that supports the development and delivery of their products. Working closelywith the development, product, testing and compliance teams to insure integrity and security.
Your role:
* You will be involved in the selection, design, production, implementation and maintenance of effective DevOps, SecOps strategies and solutions.
* Configuring, maintaining the live systems, patching and updating application, web and database servers and related network and security systems whilst ensuring the stability of the platform is maintained.
* Working on scalable and resilient systems design, in addition to problem diagnostics and performance optimisation.
* Establish and report performance bottlenecks to the development teams, DBAs and platform technical leads.
* Configure, maintain and participate in the design of application level load balancing, fail over, high availability and disaster recovery.
* Discover, monitor, track, report and at times fix -or support developers in fixing - vulnerabilities in our codebase and supporting systems and technologies.
* Develop, maintainand monitor security monitoring and reporting solutions.
We need you to have:
* Excellent Linux administration skills, public cloud hosting (e.g. AWS), secure/automated Agile release and configuration management, and good knowledge of and experience with JVM based server-side applications and Web Applications that process sensitive data.
* You should have a strong interest in DevOps skills like automating system config management /release using tools like Docker and Ansible, and in infrastructure information security and data privacy.
* Experience working in secure, high availability environments
* Experience withcommercial cloud services like Amazon AWS
* Demonstrable experience and expertise with operation of a Continuous Delivery environment.
* Good knowledge of using version control systems such as GIT/Gitlab
* Good knowledge of Continuous Integration systems such as Jenkins
* Good knowledge in using monitoring tools such as LibreNMS, Nagios, Mutiny or similar
* Experience insystem design and integration
* Strong debugging and diagnostic skills
* Strong system optimization skills across all platform layers
* Extensive knowledge of cloud standards such as AWS, OpenStack, OVS, CIMI, etc.
* Good knowledge and experienceof Web Servers Administration (Apache and Tomcat) and builds
