End User Refresh Engineer
3-month contract - NHS Trust, Essex
£230 per day

Overview:
The Desktop Support Engineers will be responsible for replacing all end user equipment identified for replacement in a given financial year.
The Ideal candidate will have 5 years Desktop Support experience, preferably with NHS or large Windows 10, Microsoft domain enterprise environment.
The End User Equipment Refresh team will work as an independent function but will be heavily integrated with other key teams across the Digital Services support functions such as Service Desk (1st Line Support), Desktop SupportTeam (2nd Line Support), Digital Platforms (3rd Line Support) and the Digital Networks team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for ensuring that all Incidents and Requests are dealt with by the support team
* Responsible for ensuring that the team adhere to security measures in respect of IT equipment
* Fully understand and advocate the use of ITIL principles such asChange Management, Incident Management, Demand Management, Problem Management Service Catalogue Management and Service Level Agreement Management in accordance to the local policies and procedures.
* A good understanding of reporting in SCCM and SQL.
*Application, Hardware and Operating System investigation testing.
* ensure that software, network and hardware components ofthe Trust's information systems are installed and configured
* ensure that data and software held by the Trust is secure and that access to it is managed in line with Trust policy
key Skills:
* IT Department Background either Desktop support/deployment or Service Desk Support.
* An understanding of ITIL v4 service management procedures and processes
* SLA & OLA application, including an understanding of escalation procedures
* Microsoft Active Directory Experience
* Microsoft Remote technologies such as SCCM, RDP, Citrix.
* Windows 10 Deployment, Application Testing, Quality Assurance.
* Knowledge and understanding of application of SLAs & priorities
* Basic network routing and switching knowledge.
* Basic network WAN and VPNknowledge
* Basic network Wireless LAN knowledge
* Microsoft Server knowledge, WSUS & MDT
* IT Equipment Maintenance/Repair Experience
* Anti-Virus & Driver Management
* Experience managing a large estate of IT assets
Key Qualifications:
* Computer Science degree qualification or equivalent level of knowledge and expertise gained through experience.
* 2xMCP Microsoft or MCSE qualification (Microsoft Certified Professional level and proven experience of applying these qualifications)
* Customer Service Qualification
* ITIL V4 Foundation
* Prince2 or Agile Foundation
