Position: IT Hardware Engineer - Mobile Devices
Reference: 51539
Location: Doncaster (in office daily)Duration: 4 Months
Daily Rate: £200 Inside IR35
New opportunity for a 2nd line support analyst to assist on a MobileRefresh Project. As the 2nd line support analyst you will need a combination of hardware, software, and communication technologies.
Responsibilities:
* Solving Complex User Issues: Analyse and resolve complex user issues related to mobile devices promptly and efficiently.
* Configuration of Devices: Configure and set up mobile devices according to organizational standardsand user requirements.
* Liaising with 3rd Line Team: Collaborate with the 3rd line support team to address technical challenges and ensure seamless mobile device functionality.
* Dealing with 1st Line Escalations: Handle escalations from the 1st linesupport team, providing effective solutions and timely resolution.
* Supporting 1st Line Team: Assist the 1st line support team in handling tickets and resolving issues related to mobile devices.
* Refresh Project: Contribute to the mobile refresh project by actively participating in planning, execution, and post-implementation phases.
Key technologies:
* Mobile Device Management (MDM) Software: Utilize MDM software to manage, monitor, and configure mobile devices centrally.
* Help Desk/Service Desk Software: Employ help desk or service desk software for ticket management, incident tracking, and communication withend-users.
* Remote Desktop Software: Use remote desktop tools to troubleshoot and resolve mobile device issues remotely.
*Mobile Operating Systems: Familiarity with mobile operating systems (e.g., Android, iOS)
* Knowledge of Mobile Hardware: Understand various mobile devices, their specifications, and hardware components. This knowledge is crucial for addressing hardware-related issues and ensuring compatibility during the refresh project.
* Collaboration Tools: Use collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams) for real-time communication with other support teams, project managers, and stakeholders.
* Security Tools: Implement security tools to ensure the protection of sensitive data during the mobile refresh project. This includes encryption tools, antivirus software, and security policies.
* Testing Tools: Utilize testing tools to ensure that mobile devices areconfigured correctly after the refresh. This may include network testing tools, performance monitoring software, and device testing applications.
* Documentation Tools: Use documentation tools for maintaining records of configurations, issue resolutions, and project progress. This helps in creating a knowledge base for future reference.
* Training and Educational Resources: Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in mobile device management through training programs and educational resources. Continuous learning is crucial in the rapidly evolving field of technology.
Qualifications:
* Proven experiencein IT support roles, particularly in mobile device management.
* Relevant certifications in mobile device configuration and support.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex technical issues.
* Excellent communication skillswith the capacity to interact effectively with users of varying technical backgrounds.
* Previous experience in large-scale mobile device refresh projects would be advantageous.
