My client, a growing Managed Service Provider with a speciality in supporting the hospitality and retail industry, are currently looking to recruit an IT Field Engineer in their established field team. This role requires onsite and remote support for customers, as well as supporting an internal helpdesk. We are looking fora confident and profession IT engineer who is comfortable in a customer facing role, and looking to advance their career in a hands on position working with a large range of hardware.
Salary - £25,000 - £30,000 per year
Location - supporting customers in London and the surrounding areas
Expenses - all travel expenses are covered
Shift patterns - Monday to Friday, need some flexibility for early and late shifts
The Role
* Providing IT support to the customer base either in personor remotely
* Onsite fault finding in servers, Desktop PC's networking devices
* IT support in the Installation and commissioning of IP and VoIP Telephone systems
* To be part of the IT "out of hours" rota fixing business critical (major) faults either remotely or on site, as necessary whilst achieving the SLA
* Adhere to our strict customer SLA's ensuring the best possible client experience
* Ensure that the company CRM system is kept up to date with customer and site information
* Installations of full IT infrastructures
* Onsite IT configurations and preventative maintenance visits
* Support the IT Service Desk team with remote second line support fault finding & customer interaction
* Attend and participate in relevant meetings with the management team, technicians, customers and suppliers as and when required
The Ideal Candidate
* 2nd line experience in a hands on technical role (onsite engineer/deskside support, technician)
* Ideally have experience supporting the retail and hospitality sector
* Experience fault finding and installing a range of hardware
* Experience installing and troubleshooting networks
* Experience installing and commissioning IP and VoIP phone systems
* Provide high levels of customer service, and be comfortable in a customer facing role
