Description:
Concept Resourcing are currently recruiting a IT Support Field Engineer commutable to either Dunstable or Hatfield.
This position assists multiple sites with technical support of laptop, desktop computers, applications, and related technology on Microsoft Windows Operating System.
Contract Duration: 3 months with possible extension to 6 months
Rate information:
* £140.00 per day via umbrella (inside IR35)* Field role attending 1 site per day ONLY
* Mileage claimable after 50 miles at 0.30ppm
* All parking and tolls claimable with receipts
* Monday to Friday throughout duration of contract
* 9.00am - 17.00pm*
* Use of own vehicle required
* Area coverage: Dunstable, Hatfield and on the odd occasion; Milton Keynes and London
* Possibility of extension
The Role:* Prepare, install and configure computer hardware (laptops and desktops) operating systems for customer
* Deliver computeror other hardware to customer - and assist at first-time login
* Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
* Assist network-team on tasks regarding network (troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware faults)
*Supporting end users both face to face and remotely
* Follow script based guidance to repair a fault or set up system
* Repair/ replace parts where necessary
* support refresh of hardware
* see tasks through to completion
* Prioritise and manageopen cases on Remedy
* Provide good quality customer service at all times and establish good working relationships
The Candidate:
* Excellent skills in user IT infrastructure - Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Handhelds, Smartphone etc
* Strong technical skills in Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems (Win 7 & Win 10) and business productivity applications i.e. Office
* Ability to interact with customers so as to ensure that the service is polite, efficient and responsive
* Ability towork on their own initiative
* To work through issues analytically and successfully
* At least 3 years of experience in thefield or in a related area required
* Prior experience on Desktops, Workstations, Notebooks and Printers
* Strong customer service skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills (English and local language)
* Background security check required - must be able to complete successfully
This contract has been deemed an inside IR35 role, therefore you will need to bepaid via umbrella company. the above rates are the umbrella company rates subject to weekly fees and deductions.
