NOC Analyst
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £28K - £32K
Job Purpose
The NOC Analyst is responsible for providing 24x7 support and ensuring our customers receive an exceptional service all year round.
The primary job responsibilities include:
* 24 x 7 monitoring of internal/client networks, server infrastructure and systems using monitoring tools (i.e. SolarWinds / Halcyon dependenton technology).
* Respond to alerts and messages as defined in the procedural documentation
* Log incidents with third party providers and manage incident to resolution
Key Accountabilities
* Follow a check list process according to documentedstandards and in a timely fashion
* End-User Enterprise Operations Center support using ticketing system. This includes managing each ticket with a high degree of accuracy from beginning to end
* Investigate and resolve failures of scheduled backup orrestores
* Log, Allocate and Escalate to support groups as needed
* Produce and distribute daily client handovers
* Incident management
* Escalation management
* Media Handling
* First level support: specific Application/system Software
Skills and Experience:
* Experience within a 24x7 IT operation
* Has good operational understanding some/all of the followingtechnologies:
o IBMi/AS400 - Required
o Unix -Desirable
o Windows - Required
o Networking - Desirable
o Monitoring tools- SolarWinds & Halcyon - Required
* Experience of Incident, Problem and Change Management from an operational perspective ideally gained through ITIL experience.
* Is client and solution focused and is prepared to go the extra mile to resolve client issues to their satisfaction without compromising the viability of the contract.
* Highly responsive where required, has astrong sense of urgency and a commitment to follow through.
