Role:
We are undergoing an exciting time in our evolution and now seek an ambitious and driven NOC Engineer to maintain and monitor internal, and client systems, troubleshoot problems, track issues and report incidents. This is a key technical roleresponsible for acting on alerts generated by monitoring systems. The post holder will ensure data protection standards are met.Key Responsibilities
* Maintenance of key internal platforms, such as RMM, PSA, mail filtering, privileged access management, and backups
*Responsible for maintaining set standards for monitoring, patching, and scripting
*Undertakes monitoringof servers, firewalls, and other managed endpoints, with remediation when necessary
*Patching of managed devices, either manually or through automation - Windows devices, Firewalls, Access Points etc
*Monitoring and remediation of internal, and client-based backups
*Write and schedule scripts for automated tasks when required
*Identify areas for continuous improvement
*Be able to attend Datacentres to implement, fix and troubleshoot systems when required
*Be a subject matter expert on hosted infrastructure
*Attend Change Advisory Board meetings when required
*Implement systems and changes as directed by the Head ofTechnical Operations
*Provide regular updates to the Head of Technical Operations, and Lead NOC Engineer on work in progressTechnical Requirements
* Service Delivery experience with a Managed Service Provider
*Excellent working knowledge of Hyper-V, and other Windows Server roles
*High understanding of data protection, and backup systems
*Experience working with a variety of network technologies, protocols and hardware
*Experience working with Server Clustering, including Hyperconverged infrastructure, SAN's and S2D (Storage Spaces Direct)
*Comfortable using Windows PowerShell
*Full driving licence that allowsyou to drive in the UK
*Willingness to travel to our Datacentres in London and Cambridge as required at short for proactiveand reactive work
*Ability to live and work in the UK (unfortunately we are unable to sponsor visas)
