Concept Resourcing are looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to join a Central Government client based in London/Bristol OR Manchester.
This is an initial 3 month contract with a possible extension. The role is INSIDE IR35. Day rates between £600-650 perday, depending on experience.
Role:
* Lead and motivate multiple multi-disciplinary teams, helping them organise and plan their work, ensuring they deliver products and services that actually meet users' needs
* Ensure teams clearly communicatetheir plans and progress through their plans using recognised agile practices
* Provide data to help report on the programme to the portfolio and senior management team
* Identify the people, skills, and resources that the teams need to deliver to theagreed goals
* Identify and communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers
* Working with senior leaders in GDS and other senior stakeholders to ensure all needs are understood and to influence strategic direction
* Develop, guide and coach your delivery manager line reports
* Manage stakeholders to ensure good relations and effective communication
* Actively participate in the Delivery Manager community, learning, sharing and applying skills and knowledge to improve
The ideal candidatemust have the following experience;
* Previous UK government or public sector experience desirable.
* Experience of successfully delivered complex digital projects and products
* An understanding of agile and lean methodologies and how they help deliver products and services at scale
* A good understanding of the digital landscape
* Confidence matrix-managing multi-disciplinary teams
* The ability to promote agile practices across an organisation
