Overview:
My client is an NHS Trust based in Kent. They are currently seeking a Senior Project manager with the main responsibility being to support the PMs to ensure all projects deliver the required outcomes to the required quality within the constraints of time and cost.
The post holder will work with the Project Boards, workstream leads, CCG planned care team and clinical leads to provide senior expertise on all aspects of programme / project management, such as production of PIDs, QIAs and action plans; schedulingand phasing of programmes / projects; identification of risks; understanding of interdependencies; analysis of complex datasets;communications planning; managing changing demands; and benefits tracking.
will be responsible for the successful delivery ofcomplex digital projects and transformation enablers. The role requires extensive project management skills to lead the development, management and implementation of a wide portfolio of schemes. The role will primarily focus on the IT systems implementation and system enhancement to support the overall Digital Transformation Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* work in collaboration with project work streams, ICT and other Trust technical teams to support and deliver the Digital programme of work.
*work closely with the PMs and workstream leads leading the implementation of a full programme of work in order to successfully implement digital solutions across the organisation.
* will be responsible for managing the overarching delivery of digital solutions
* will be experienced in implementing complex, integrated IT systems within an NHS setting
* provide project management support to the Programme Director
* Work with the Digital Business Change Manager for coordination of work
* Ensure thatall programme documentation is fit for purpose
* Handle programme and works stream risks and issues
Qualifications and knowledge:
* Master's Degree level education or equivalent in a relevant subject or demonstrable significant relevant experience* PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent
* Thorough understanding of how IT supports the delivery of safe patient care within the NHS
* Be able to manage and deliver large scale IT projects from start-up, including scoping
Skills and Experience:* Proven successful delivery of healthcare programmes
* Proven experience of leading complex projects
* Experienced in a staff management role
* Experience of programme management in an NHS environment
* Experience in implementing change
* Experience of managing project budgets and managing project change
* Confident user of MS Office and MS Project or other project management tools
* Able to quantify and balance competing requirements within projects
* Ability to relate to, communicate withand influence staff at all levels in the organisation
* Ability to understand the strategic overview whilst giving due attention to detail
* Ability to identify opportunities, analyse options and develop creative solutions
* Ability to work across teams, departments and organisations in a complex environment
* Management of risks and issues throughout the lifecycle of theproject, including the tolerance and escalation of risks and issues.
* Be able to write regular reports and updates
