Role: Senior Project Support Officer
Location: Remote/Cambridge Office
IR35 Status: OUTSIDE
I am currently recruiting for a Senior Project Support Officer for a Managed Service Client who are supporting clients in the medical & pharmaceutical industry.
Senior Project Support Officer responsibilities:
* Assists the PMs to manage resource and remove blockages
* Assists the PMs to report upwards/outwards including user comms and engagement
* Actively avoid becoming a single point of program failure (in case of unexpected absence):
* Use ALD Teams group/channels and not depend on email & attachments
* Share documentation and progress openly with the PMs/Teams (do not hoard work products in personal storage)
Senior Project Support deliverable:
Provide input and support to all of the PM deliverables described below:
Q1 - Establish the facts, refine the approach
* (help the PM to) Obtain a Product Owner and ensure they start to build the prioritized backlog
*Ensure the Metrics Master is fully investigating and mitigating each of the RATs.
* Assist creation of a comms plan and in obtaining peer and senior review
* Assist implementation of the early steps of the Comms Plan to establish a program governanceboard, initiate regular updates and obtain budget and approval to proceed
* Support and ensure the Metrics Master coordinateswith the program team in mitigating the RATs
* Support and ensure the Metrics Master creates a list of metrics for key program& project stages
* Keep track of program finances and help with the purchase, recruitment/hiring of all the necessary people and resource for Q1 & Q2
* Assist induction for new team members, ensure they understand their roles, manage team performance
* Support the first project manager(s) to implement our initial ALD solution (Zontal) in at least one lab
* Supportthe program team retrospectives monthly to learn from progress so far
Q2 - Deliver a simple system that works
* Assist with the purchase, recruitment/hiring of all the necessary people and resource for Q3
* Assist the Product Owner to simply and rationalize requirements in a prioritized backlog for the first Zontal implementation in order to ensure a limited, specific butsuccessful first lab implementation
* Support the first project manager(s) to ensure they are implementing our initial ALD solution (Zontal)
* Regularly review and use the metrics (from the Metrics Master) to ensure value is being delivered
* Supportthe program team retrospectives monthly to learn from progress so far
Q3 - Scale-up to multiple parallel lab implementations* Assist with the purchase, recruitment/hiring of all the necessary people and resource for Q4
* Support a review of progress to ensure key standards, architecture and progress is shared across R&D IT
* Continue to work with the Product Ownerto update requirements in a prioritized backlog
* Ensure the project manager(s) are implementing our initial ALD solutions
*Regularly review and use the metrics to ensure value is being delivered
* Support the program team retrospectives monthly tolearn from progress so far
* Assist in socializing ALD progress reports with data science teams to begin conversations regarding instrument data reuse
Q4 - Platform established, start integration with neighbouring programs such as ELN
* Support program retrospective to create an "after action report".
* Assist in briefing governance boards on progress in 2023
* Reviewof progress and ensure key standards, architecture and progress is shared across R&D IT
* Continue to work with the Product Owner to update requirements in a prioritized backlog
* Ensure the project manager(s) are implementing our initial ALD solutions
* Regularly review and use the metrics to ensure value is being delivered
* Update comms plan
* Support the program team retrospectives monthly to learn from progress so far
* Ensure that all key points, standards, designs and lessons are shared across R&D IT in order to maintain alignment with parallel and future program capabilities
