My client in Newport, South Wales are a large government organisation. They are seeking a Java Engineer on an initial 6-month contract basis (37 hours per week). The role is paying £500-550 per day for the duration of the contract.
Java Engineer roles and responsibilities:
* The client is looking for someone who has experience of software development and support with using R. If you can display evidence of optimising R code and process large datasets in an efficient manner.
* Demonstrate experience of best practice development that relates to code quality analysis and be able to utilize unit test, automated testing, and integration.
* It is key that you can participate effectively within a team environmentwith good communication skills both in person and writing. It would also be good practice to share skills and experience with the company support team
* Clear demonstration of strong statistical and mathematical skills
* Software development experience and the ability to utilise Agile principles and techniques.
* Demonstrate knowledge and experience of software development and support by utilising Python.
